Maria Staump is a Composer, Arranger, Music Producer, Multi-Instrumentalist, and the Director of Music Education for Staump Music School.
She is a strong believer in the importance of music education and personally instructs over seventy private students monthly. She teaches piano, guitar, voice, violin, viola, trumpet, and trombone. Maria is the Founder and Director of the East County Youth Guitar Ensemble. This classically trained ensemble has performed with the Grossmont College Guitar Ensemble and Conductor Fred Benedetti. Maria has instructed and volunteered for many music programs in East County, and currently provides instruction on piano to the second and third graders of Lakeview Elementary School in Lakeside, Ca.
Maria Staump is a diverse composer. She writes in a wide range of genres, from singer-songwriter to Orchestral. In February of 2008, she released her first instrumental album, Mi Vida Bonita, and she is currently recording her Break the Box album. She has arranged music for various community organizations, and has had several compositions performed by the Grossmont College Guitar Ensemble.
Maria is the Music Producer for several new artists. In 2012 she is in the studio for one demo, two EP’s and 3 albums. She is also producing her own album, Break the Box.
